Relevance Test

With infoPatent it becomes possible to easily and conveniently judge the relevance or impact of patents on your business environment. This is due to features like:

• fulltext search with field-based indexes
• split screen view of one patent document (e.g. claims and figures)
• detail view: citations, legal status, family consolidation
• hitlist with selected representative patent displayed with key information
• automatic color highlighting of retrieved texts

In addition to this manual method, relevance can be tested and ranked by the semantic searching engine of infoPatent. You define a learning set of relevant patents, and infoPatent identifies the similarity measure of incoming patents against this set. Patent Classification

one result of the evaluation of IPR is the classification. The classification helps to gain a quick overview of how patents are related to products, processes or technologies. It is displayed in the form of a structure tree.

One can asssign IPR to the nodes of the structure tree in a manual way, or one can do so automatically through the "Classifier". The latter uses sematical principles based on learning sets of representative patents
